3 Signatures for the Lady ACCEPTED!

Whoohoo, I'm on a roll. I just had my second story accepted by Resplendence Publishing.

Moon Princess will be released in March and 3 Signatures will be released in April. What a nice way to start the spring!

Here's a little taste of Celina, Stan and Bear from Moon Princess:

Celina followed Stan up the front stone steps with Bear walking behind her. She was already living out part of her sexual fantasy, sandwiched between the two men. Now if she could get all their clothes off and get them to stand much closer to her…

God, where was her head? She’d never been so quick to consider jumping into bed with a guy before—let alone two of them—and she didn’t even know Stan yet. How could she be thinking about turning this into a sexual encounter?

Yeah, that one was easy to answer as she stared at Stan’s perfectly formed ass as she followed him up the steps to the house.

“Ouch!” She fell forward as her toe caught the top edge of the last step.

Bear grabbed her around the waist from behind and Stan spun around to catch her from the front before she splattered face first on the walkway.

And that was how she managed to succeed in creating the Celina sandwich with two, incredibly sexy men…but they still had all their clothes on.

Sweet Reunion

Four months is a long time to be missing a friend, especially when you think she doesn't want to be your friend anymore.

But I swallowed my pride and dialed her number today. I even wrote the message down that I planned to leave on her voice mail. Boy, was I surprised when she answered her cellphone while at work, knowing she had to have seen my name on caller ID.

Life has thrown her some hard balls lately and she had to shut down to regroup, which meant she stopped reaching out to her friends.

It was so sweet to hear her voice on the phone, even though she was putting up all sorts of defensive walls, trying to sound tough and strong. But I knew there was pain behind the hard shell, and I called her out on it. The glimpses I got of her soft underside made it worth the effort.

I've missed you terribly, M. I'm so glad we got to speak today.

Love, Suz

4 Star Review for The Anniversary Present!

Title: The Anniversary Present: Gifts of Desire 3
Author: Suzanne Graham
Publisher: Total E Bound
Reviewer: Stefani Clayton
Rating: 4 Stars
Heat Level: H

Amanda and Tom are an all American couple, professional, dedicated, and going places, or so they were. When Tom loses his job, Amanda struggles to come up with a plan to save their lifestyle, but soon she discovers Tom’s unemployment might not be the only thing changing in their household. They had been planning their trip to England for months and canceling simply wasn’t an option. A lot can change in a short amount of time, and these two couples learn first hand that not everything is predetermined; sometimes the best things in life come as a total surprise.

The Anniversary Present was a short read that packed quite a bit of depth into only a few pages. Tom and Amanda’s characters were complex, yet I found it easy to understand where they were coming from. Mark and Sabrina were more aloof, but equally likable characters and they all shared hot sexual scenes. There are several scenes that feature female/female or male/male contact, but they are not a prominent part of the story. For the most part, the sexual scenes feature male/female action. The plot wasn’t overly complicated, yet there was enough depth to keep my attention. I enjoyed this story, and would say for a quick bathtub read, The Anniversary Present would be a very good choice.

In the works

My next release coming out September 6 is in the Threefold Anthology. Between A and Z is a fun, light paranormal, modern day Pygmalion story.

In the meantime I've been working on another paranormal which I started last year and has been pushed to the back burner several times as I worked on other projects. As I delve into the worldbuilding for my werewolves and werebears, I've been having a great time. I plan to have this book finished in the next month. Then we'll see if my editor at TEB likes it as much as I do.

Summer Daze

It's the beginning of the second week of August, which means there are only 4 weeks left of summer before the kids go back to school. I've just said goodbye to my friend and her 4 kids who were visiting from Philly for the past week. Now it's time to shake off the summer complacency and assess my plans for the remainder of the summer.

And that means I'm asking the kids what they will write about their summer vacation when they go back to school in September. "We didn't do anything," is the answer I fear the most, even though I know it's not true. We've been to the beach several times, gone to movies, been to Crazy Bounce, been out for pizza, etc., but since we haven't taken a family vacation this summer, they don't think we've done anything. But wait! One of them went to camp for 12 days and the other two spent a week with Gram and Gramps in Massachusetts, yet they still want a family vacation with Mom, Dad and the 3 boys.

So now I'm looking at the calendar and seeing if we can squeeze in a mini family vacation before the end of the summer daze.

The Exception

My rule is love stories whether in books or movies have to end with a happily-ever-after or else I will be terribly disappointed and will rant for days, sometimes weeks and months, about how wrong the writer was to end the story without a HEA.

Last night I watched the movie that proved to be the exception to my rule. Instead of ranting, I am raving about this film and encouraging everyone I know to see this movie.

This love story is based on a real life story and the message of love and acceptance was strong and true. I know everyone who watches this untraditional love story will be moved.

Please add Soldier's Girl to the top of your Netflix queue.

This powerful drama tells the true story of a young soldier, Pfc. Barry Winchell (Troy Garity), who meets and falls for a beautiful transgendered nightclub performer (Lee Pace) while on a drunken outing with fellow soldiers. Winchell's relationship is frowned upon by the other soldiers -- and eventually leads to tragedy at the hands of his homophobic roommate. Garity and Pace both earned Independent Spirit nods for their performances. (Movie description from Netflix.)

If you don't use Netflix, you can buy Soldier's Girl at Amazon.

Coming in Print!!!

Doing the happy dance today!!!!
I just heard from Total-e-bound that my latest story has been accepted for the Threefold anthology that will be available in print in September!!!

A book with my story in it will sit on my non-virtual bookshelf!!!
YEEHAA!

Between A and Z has a little bit of everything in it. It is a paranormal, multicultural, m/m/f romance.

Here is the blurb:

Mia dubbed her life-sized clay sculpture, Adam, because he is the first man she’s ever made. Most of her work has been female torsos, but recently her muse insisted it was time for her to produce a man. Though, she might have been confusing her surging libido with her artistic muse.

Mia has been abstinent for nearly a year, but not because of any plan. Her best friend, Shirle, has organized a party for Mia to put an end to her long dry spell and give her vibrator a night off. Before she even gets out of Shirle’s car, Mia meets Zed.

Zed has come to the party to win a challenge. The waiters at the restaurant where he is the head chef and owner don’t think a black French chef can country line dance. Once he meets Mia, his purpose for the night changes. He plans to spend the evening with this incredibly sexy woman whose sense of humour is developed enough to subject herself to the intense teasing from her friends about her lacking sex life. But he must decide whether he still wants Mia when he discovers Adam plays an important role in her life.

Feeling a little warmer

Here in the frigid north of the Midwest, we had a taste of spring this week with temperatures in the fifties. Then they plummeted back into the thirties. So I decided to search for a picture that captures how much I'd like to shed my winter duds for some lighter layers...or no layers at all.

I hope this keeps you warm through these final cold days of spring.

Past Round 1

I got an email this week from the epub where I sent my latest story. I've made it past the initial editorial reviewer and have landed on the acquiring editors desk! Yippee!! Doing the mini-happy dance. (Full happy dance will commence when I get a contract offer.)

I've heard they are looking for interracial eroms. My story is interracial, paranormal and m/m/f. It's got everything except the kitchen sink.

Keep those fingers and toes crossed!

Still a submissive

I'm still waiting to hear from my editor at TEB about the third book in the Gifts of Desire series. So no new news on that front.

In the meantime I decided to write a story for an upcoming themed collection for another publisher. I decided 16 days before the deadline that I would write a 10-15K story. Sounded a little insane at first, but then when I thought about the challenge I am partaking in with my monthly writer's group. I realized it was a very doable pace. In fact I finished the story in 11 days. Whew! Then a few days for edits, a synopsis, a blurb and a query letter, and the story was out the door a few days early.

Now it's time for us to cross all those fingers and toes between us.

Thanks!
Suzanne
