A short BDSM romp!

Warning: This story is very short! Only 5K! But I promise it's worth 99 cents! :-)

Amy's Roommate

Amy was grateful when the new bartender at Margaritaville agreed to be her roommate after her former one eloped. Not only is she appreciative Mario pays his portion of the rent on time, but he’s also provided plenty of inspiration for her private fantasies. When he suddenly takes the initiative and pushes their relationship beyond friends-slash-roommates, Amy reacts intensely to his dominance. But she retreats when she doesn’t think he’d been interested in her for the long-term, while Mario wonders if he’s found his perfect sub.

Release Day!

ANNA AND THE THREE GENERALS, book one in the new Profortuna seriesis now available!

Blurb:

Having spent the last twenty-five years devoted to science, elite bio-researcher Anna is now faced with her mandatory mating on the unbreathable planet of Profortuna. Anna’s research on how to sustain life in the bio-domes is vital, but it also makes her a target of the Open Air Society.
Convinced the Council has found the most appropriately brain-heavy men on the planet for her mates in order to perpetuate their superior intellectual genes, Anna is shocked to find three high-ranking military men waiting for her in the reception room.
Just as Anna’s sexuality is awaken by a kiss from one of her mates, terrorists from the Open Air Society attack her lab, and the three Generals act quickly to protect her. As they shuttle her to the other side of the planet, Anna comes to know her mates intimately as three men of distinction. But can they fulfill her secret wish to find old-fashioned romantic love?

Dear Diary

First I'd like to say thank you to the weather gods for making the rain and lightening stop so my middle child could go on his school field trip today. He has the worst luck when it comes to field trips. He usually gets soooo excited beforehand, then ends up with a virus with a high fever and can't go on the trip. It has happened nearly ever year for the past four years! Today, he was healthy, the rain stopped, the lightening blew away, and he was a happy clam going to school. Yay! Oh dear...I hope nothing happens to him on the trip.

Second, I need to send loads of pleas to the writing gods/muses/whatever they're called to help me get this "lovely" next book finished. For some reason this one has been giving me fits. I haven't struggled with a book this much since I first started writing. I hope it's just a fluke and the next one comes out much easier, but I've got 3 days to wrap up the plot in another 6K words. HA! I don't know how it'll happen, but that's why I'm pleading to the writing gods/muses/whatever they're called for help. So help please!

Third, do I have a third? Maybe not.

Fourth, why is it that I asked the boys to clean the house on Wednesday and when I came home it didn't feel any cleaner, but there was definitely evidence that they'd attempted to do something? I guess three boys in the house just means constant dirt.

And finally, I'm getting really excited to see my cover art for my next story coming out, Anna and the Three Generals, on May 23. I hope to get the cover art soon to share with you!

Love, Suzanne

Introducing Anna!

Yesterday, I introduced the history of Profortuna, the distant planet of my new upcoming trilogy. Today, I want to introduce you to the first heroine, Anna, and the Open Air Society.

After twelve generations on Profortuna, resources are devoted to finding answers to why the fertility rates are falling and how to sustain their lives in the bio-domes. The Open Air Society for centuries has searched for the best chance of finding a more Earthlike planet, somewhere humans could live in the open air without the need of bio-domes. They are fed up with the survivalist instinct to make do with what they currently have. They want more resources spent on space exploration. A small group of extremists have begun targeting scientists. Their rationale is if the scientists aren't able to keep the research going on the status quo, then the resources can be freed up to support space exploration.

Anna is an elite bio-research who had been able to delay her mandatory mating until her twenty-fifth year (seven years past her full maturity) so that she could devote all her energy to her science. When the Council finally selects her mates, she is shocked to find they are three high-ranking military men. The Council has a history of matching the intellectual elite with others of their class to perpetuate their intellectual genes. Anna had hoped she might be matched with someone she'd have a chance to bond with emotionally. The scientist in her wondered if the planet's low fertility rates might turn around if love was brought back into the equation. Perhaps the hormonal changes triggered by the emotion contributed to better fertility.

As Anna is meeting her three mates for the first time, terrorists from the Open Air Society target her lab. The three Generals act quickly to protect her, shuttling her away from her home Quadrant to the other side of the planet where one of the Generals has his military base. Anna's life has just spun completely out of her control.

Anna and the Three Generals will be released on May 23!!!

Oh Happy Day!

I'm so pleased to announce that my editor has accepted my proposal for a new 3-book series! I'm joining the big leagues now, as this is the first time I'll be writing to a deadline versus submitting a finished book. They were deadlines that I gave myself, and I added wiggle room, so there should be no problem getting them finished. :D

Book One: Anna and the Three Generals is coming out May 23!!!

Now let me introduce you to the world of the Profortuna series!

By 2400, Earth's population had flatlined, and by 2500, the population began a rapid descent. One hundred years later, it was obvious to scientists that life on Earth would no longer be sustainable in another two hundred years, due to the massive destruction of natural resources and pollution. A global space race ensued to design an escape plan, while other researchers worked on methods to maintain life on Earth in bio-domes.

Astronomists determined the best planet for a new colony of bio-domes was twenty light years away. A stunning breakthrough in space travel made the distance passable in thirty Earth years. The ships were designed as traveling cities with the ability to sustain life over a generation. The initial goal was to provide passage for one million people, only .01% of the world's population. One hundred ships were to be built in space every year for three years, but the goal was unattainable. Only twenty-six ships were completed the first year, nineteen the next year and twelve in the final year as resources grew scarcer and manufacturing couldn't keep up with the demand for building supplies. Only fifty-seven ships were created, just a fifth of the desired goal. Only 100,000 people escaped Earth.

The richest could afford passage in the pioneer ships, whereas the brightest in all academic disciplines from around the world were given free passage regardless of their age. In order to maintain a diverse genetic pool, a worldwide lottery was set up for everyone between the age of eighteen and forty. The selected candidates were able to bring their spouse and children. Singles could choose up to three other family members under the age of forty.

The rest of the population was left behind to survive in the bio-domes.

Twelve generations have now lived on Profortuna where the ratio of male to female births is growing alarmingly as the overall fertility rate is falling severely. The first six generations on Profortuna continued the Earth standard of one male to one female mate, but then the Council made a decision, in an attempt to increase fertility, to assign two males to every female. Within the past three generations, the number has risen to three male mates to every one female, yet fertility rates have not increased.

Tomorrow, I will introduce you to Anna, the first heroine in the series!

Trace came out of the kitchen and handed an open beer bottle to Jason. “I haven’t seen you twisted up like this since the witch left.”

Jason set the bottle on the coffee table without taking a sip. He didn’t want beer on his breath when he kissed Stacy. “We’ve got a lot of practicing to do to get ready for tomorrow night.” He refused to acknowledge the real reason for his insecurity out loud.Trace’s brow rose with a doubtful look, and Jason knew he hadn’t fooled him. Trace was too good at reading people. He knew this was a big step for Jason. He was finally letting himself feel again.

The front door opened and prevented Jason from having to answer Trace’s unspoken challenge. Pace escorted Stacy inside while Jason waited for his opportunity to properly greet her.

She looked up at him shyly. “Hi, Jason. I’m sorry I kept you waiting.” She spoke softly as she took another step toward him.

Her hesitant readiness made something click into place in his head. He stepped towards her, and his old instincts reawakened. He was going to make her his. Encircling her with his arms, he drew her to his chest. Her body was soft and warm under his hands. He lowered his head and caught a whiff of her floral shampoo. He couldn’t wait to taste her again, but he wanted her to want it as badly as him.

He started with a gentle brush of their lips. Then he pressed his mouth against hers a little more firmly. When her lips parted, he drew back and licked lightly at the corners. She tilted her head to catch his mouth, but he stayed in control of the kiss by sucking softly on her lower lip.

Her breaths came faster as she pushed her belly against his growing erection. The slight friction sent his blood shooting south, and he hardened fully. He slid one hand up her side and thumbed her nipple through her T-shirt. She leaned into him as if her knees were no longer capable of keeping her upright. He tightened his hold on her and plunged his tongue deeply into her warm, sweet opening.

He captured her husky moan with his mouth and continued to explore her velvety heat with his tongue. God, he wanted more of her. He wanted all of her, but it was time to back down. It was too early to take this as far as he wanted to go.

He eased his way out of the kiss, leaving little nips and sucks on her lips until he lifted his head completely free. Her eyes were still closed, and her mouth was still open. It was nearly too great a temptation, but Jason steeled himself to back away once he was sure she was steady on her feet.

Her eyes slowly opened, and she blinked up at him. He grinned down at her. “Hello, Stacy. I’m glad you finally made it over here.”

“Me too. I mean we’ve got practicing to do still, right?” She glanced around at Pace and Trace who were standing very near, watching closely.

Trace cleared his throat, drawing Stacy’s attention.

“Oh, Trace. Hello,” she said before looking up again at Jason as he still held her in his arms. “I think I owe him a hello kiss too...if you don’t mind.”

He was surprised to find he didn’t mind. In fact, now that he’d had his taste, he was looking forward to observing her with Trace. “You’re free to kiss any one of us, but we’d like you to keep it between the four of us.”

“Oh! I’d never tell anyone about what we’re doing.”

He shook his head. “That’s not what I meant. I don’t care who you tell.”

“We don’t want you kissing any other men,” Pace explained. “No one other than us.”

A nervous giggle slipped past her lips. “That really won’t be a problem. I could never manage more than what I already have here.” She waved a hand to include all three men.
