Today I'm blogging over at Hitting the Hot Spot about what it felt like to write 40K words in 35 days.

Happy Dance in Progress
I hope you will join me in the happy dance as I celebrate the acceptance of the third and final book in the Gifts of Desire series with Total-e-bound. My editor let me know today. She loved The Anniversary Present, and it will be released in July.

Past Round 1
I got an email this week from the epub where I sent my latest story. I've made it past the initial editorial reviewer and have landed on the acquiring editors desk! Yippee!! Doing the mini-happy dance. (Full happy dance will commence when I get a contract offer.)
I've heard they are looking for interracial eroms. My story is interracial, paranormal and m/m/f. It's got everything except the kitchen sink.
Keep those fingers and toes crossed!

Still a submissive
I'm still waiting to hear from my editor at TEB about the third book in the Gifts of Desire series. So no new news on that front.
In the meantime I decided to write a story for an upcoming themed collection for another publisher. I decided 16 days before the deadline that I would write a 10-15K story. Sounded a little insane at first, but then when I thought about the challenge I am partaking in with my monthly writer's group. I realized it was a very doable pace. In fact I finished the story in 11 days. Whew! Then a few days for edits, a synopsis, a blurb and a query letter, and the story was out the door a few days early.
Now it's time for us to cross all those fingers and toes between us.
Thanks!
Suzanne
